Who We Are.
With nearly 15 years experience as a craftsman, handyman and small business owner, Josh Melcher knows how to do the job right. Formerly known as Prairie Home Improvements, Josh and his tight-knit crew at Hometown Construction are dedicated to working hard and completing their work with precision and a smile.
Born and raised in Kansas, Josh currently resides in Andover, Kansas. As a young boy he skipped past Saturday morning cartoons and spent his weekends learning from “This Old House” on PBS. When Josh isn’t leading the Hometown Construction pack he is the Praise Team Director at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Wichita or spending time with his family. He and his wife Jennifer are parents to daughters Amelia (3.5), Ivy (2.5) and Goldendoodle Arlo (16 months). Josh loves to play guitar and sing and is also a member of the local country band Morrison County.
